A Fieldays to Remember!
Post-show debrief: Mystery Creek Fieldays 2025
Mystery Creek Fieldays, that’s a wrap! Rain, gumboots and grey skies, it was classic Fieldays conditions, but that didn’t stop the fun. We showcased SaMASZ hay mowers and outlined our goal to lead the market by 2027.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by, it’s always great to catch up with old faces and meet new customers. And now the serious work continues… following up leads, building relationships, and growing sales opportunities.
Was it our biggest yet? That’s interesting. We felt the overall visitor numbers to our stand were down slightly, but what was incredible was the type of visitor – it might sound odd putting showgoers in a box, but if we’re being honest our visitors were serious contenders for new farm machinery – an excellent outcome for all!
FarmShop at the heart of the action
Our FarmShop site was on a corner which gave us great visibility from two road frontages. We were also among the action with other machinery dealers. However, next year we might aim for a slightly more prominent location – we hope you had no trouble finding us? We’d love to hear if you had any thoughts on our location, or overall presentation.
This year our main goal was to elevate the mowing game for our customers. We launched the new SaMASZ XDF Front Mower – read more here. The XDF has the backing of 40 years R&D, engineering, and end-user feedback from around the globe.
Also debuting at Fieldays was the new generation KDD 941 STH ISOBUS rear-mounted grouper mowers – a powerhouse machine with a working width of 9.4m and full ISOBUS integration. Designed for demanding conditions, this mower lets you mow and rake in a single pass.
Another thing that caught visitors’ attention at our stand was the SaMASZ components we had on display e.g. the quick-change blades and modules and Perfect Cutterbar. It was great to demonstrate just how easy the blades and modules are to replace.
Conversations that matter
A standout trend we noticed during our four days on site was the level of brand familiarity of SaMASZ. Even a couple of years ago we were at ground zero in terms of introducing SaMASZ mowers “no, they are not from China, yes they are European made backed with longer warranties than industry standard etc. etc.”
Nowadays people are recollecting their favourite YouTube video, or reciting an offer just unrolled out on Facebook. The word is truly getting out! People trust the brand and often recollected a neighbour or mate who had purchased a mower. Contractors appreciated the level of innovation in SaMASZ machinery and how committed FarmShop and SaMASZ are to keep ahead of the curve. So this was a welcome discovery.
We love hearing stories from SaMASZ users – another one that’s too good not to share was the farmer (we’ll leave his name blank) who was tidying up the roadside grass with his SaMASZ KDF front mower and didn’t see the concrete trough hiding there. The trough came out second best and the SaMASZ mower didn’t even look like it had hit anything! Testament to their robust design and pull type suspension. It’s not the first story we’ve heard about SaMASZ mowers hitting things they shouldn’t yet coming out on top - we’ll dedicate an article to the best bloopers very soon.
