The best news? We have the first SaMASZ XDF Front Mower right here in NZ and in this article we outline the features and performance benefits for NZ farmers and contractors.
First up, the PerfectCUT Cutterbar is a standard on all NZ SaMASZ mowers, further refined for local conditions and to improve cutting precision and wear resistance. The pull-type hitch pulls the cutterbar, rather than pushing it - an essential feature for any smart front mower. The quick-change blades and modules (easily changed in the paddock) remain a prominent feature to reduce down time.
The lateral tilt of up to 22° adapts well to undulating ground, and the 860mm of vertical travel provides generous movement for tough contours.
Hydro-pneumatic suspension allows for superior contour following, with in-cab pressure control combined with an easy-to-read gauge on the mower for user friendly operation.
The XDF is available with either flail or roller conditioners, and this unit is fitted with the SaMASZ ‘bear claw’ flails: heavy-duty and highly effective. SaMASZ tailored these conditioners to be more aggressive for NZ’s harsh conditions, especially the South Island’s irrigated grass and heavy crops. So this is a bonus.
The conditioner is gear-driven and can be run at 700 or 1000 RPM by simply adjusting the lever between the two options on the gearbox.
